Hey! I'm using an HP ProLiant DL380 G4 server for a school project. The server is using 4, 146GB Ultra320 SCSI hard drives (currently configurated for RAID10), and 2, 36GB Ultra320 SCSI (RAID1) ones.
My problem is that I can't find software that will alert me if there is a drive failure in one of the RAID arrays. I tried HP's website, but most (if not all) of the pages with downloads for this server, have been removed. I know that intel have their rapid storage RAID utility, but I doubt that it will work with the "Smart Array 6i Ultra320" controller, that's what this server has.
I don't mean to rush you but I need help with this as soon as possible!
Thanks!
P.S. I tried a few utilities, but none of them worked. However, I can monitor drive failure and recovery, from within the pre-boot RAID configuration utility. Also, this server has 2 power supplies, so a piece of software that can detect a PSU failure is also welcome!
