    Ultrium Libraries in Windows 2000

I'm rebuilding a fileserver and I want to use my IBM 3583 Ultrium tape library. It's fitted with one LTO3 drive and completely filled with tapes so there's 20something terabytes of uncompressed storage. I don't have a copy of or a valid license for Windows 2003 server but I do have a copy of 2000 server and it seems IBM supplied drivers for the library and drives for use under that OS so I just assumed there wouldn't be any issues.
Supposedly I can use Remote Storage to make the library look like a virtual disk with a smaller RAID acting as the physical location for network users (PC, mac and people using NFS) to store and retrieve their data. The drivers install fine and that I am aware of, ALL the needed drivers are installed. Remote Storage seems to understand what the drives and library are and I can perform tasks like preparing media, rearranging the media pools, running an inventory and checking the status of a device but when I try and setup a managed volume it will only let me select from the VS160 DLT drive that's fitted in one of the 5.25" bays. I can't seem to figure out how to make it work with the Ultrium setup. On IBM's end all I can seem to find is Tivoli which doesn't look like a substitute for Windows Remote Storage but more of just a system device manager.
My install also has the unofficial 2K service pack, the rollup pack and the server rollups applied.

Shoot, I forgot to add the textfile for the package containing the drivers for the library and the LTO drives. I can confirm through its instructions that everything is properly installed but yeah, still unavailable to the Remote Storage Manager.
It's also worth noting that document is for the 6.0.6.3a drivers but for some reason they only have the 6.0.6.3 drivers and yes that small change is important.
