    FZ79 1500 6.3v

Hi im new to all the terms and abbreviations. I have a video card where 2 of theses guys popped. I want to replace all of them. I have 3 FZ79 1500 6.3v and one FZ78 1000 6.3v. Could some one give me a good replacement part number for them. Ive tried searching for some but there are just so many out there and i want something that will work. Thanks guys

The Panasonic FM series seems to be a good replacement. Measure the diameter, height, and lead spacing. Look for Panasonic FM series caps with the same capacitance and voltage someplace like www.digikey.com. Make sure the replacements will fit, diameter and lead spacing are most important, you'll probably have some extra room for height. Post what you find back here and somebody'll let you know whether it'll work. Good luck!

      6.3V 1000uF 8 x 12mm

      6.3V 1500uF 10 x 13mm

Those are probably your best bets. Panasonic FM will work, but will need to be taller than the original caps to get the needed ESR and ripple current. This may or may not be an issue depending on whether you have something in the next slot. The Rubycons are close to the original sizes, so that will not be an issue.
