Hello Badcaps,
First of all, I have been using this forum passively for a few bad cap repairs over the years, and have to say you guys are awesome
However, this is my first case where I am trying to fix an issue that looks to be around the power transistor side of the motherboard? and I need a little help.
The symptom is: There is power coming out of the power brick (and its in tolerance) but when plugged into the MB the power LED on the motherboard does not light up. There is one clearly cooked component which has DC voltage going to (the same volts as supply, 19 ish).
From my limited understanding of this circuit; in the first red circle, is the red blown chip and the one next to it identical to the other two chips in the other circle -opposite the copper mounting hole? (I hope the picture uploaded).
If you could shed any light on this, it would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
