226BW takes a long time to wake up on startup

    Hi,
I've found this forum since I suspect the capacitors on my LCD are starting to go after 3 years but before I order replacements I have another symptom my LCD is having, It's doing a hiss noise when its "warming up",this hissing is constant when the screen is off even if the computer is off the only way to stop it is to unplug it, is this a normal capacitor symptom or does it indicate something else is wrong with it ?

    regards, Vadim.

I'd assume the hissing sound is the result of deteriorating caps and proceed accordingly. Open the monitor up, look for bulging caps. Then plug in power and try to identify the source of the hissing. A tube such as a rolled up piece of paper or the cardboard core from a roll of paper towels held to the ear should help localize the source of the noise.
