iMobile TPC-2A power light but nothing else

    Hi All,
I have little touch screen laptop iMobile TPC-2A that at switch on has a power light and the fan runs but will not boot, nothing on the screen or on external monitor.
DC input is circled in red on the first picture, power switch in green
second picture shows underside of the board with DC input circled
next two pictures show close ups of top and bottom of board.

if anyone can help and needs more information please ask

    Any help greatly appreciated

I know this is an unusual make of laptop but if anyone can point me in the general direction I would really appreciate it.
I have a fully equipped workshop including oscilloscope

I have removed the CMOS battery and tried different RAM which has made no difference, power light is on and processor fan spins but nothing else.

check if cpu is supplied . also if it become hot when you turn on . check main voltage at coil (ram ,igp, southbridge) and post back

there are 4 coils on the top side of the board L1 and L2 are below the DC input in the first picture L4 is just behind the DC input and L3 is just below the fan.

            voltages as follows

            L1 5.15v
            L2 3.3v
            L3 15.8v
            L4 1.8v

these voltages are the same when laptop is switched on or off

processor gets slightly warm when switched on

Not sure where to measure voltages on VIA processor

            Thanks for your help

Re: iMobile TPC-2A power light but nothing else

voltage are correct and according to your pictures CPU can't be easily removed . preconize soft reflow on gpu and cpu . good luck
