had this 920n in my service store yesterday and after re-locationed the LVDS seemed to work for some minutes then again picturing a green smoke. sometimes when i hit the monitor with force worked. measured every line in the lvds ; ok. figured out a fault at the the connector in the t-con pcb. 2 wires had anyhow grounded. resoldered bypassing the connector, i had no choice.
fired up and to my surprise the green smoke (looked liked a movie of Snoop Dogg in the Smoke Tour) was there! the ribbon-film-strip which controls the horizontal lines was faulty too. had again no choice but rewiring. i am not used to fine soldering and thought could not make it, but i did. it worked. it's 2hours of testing so far and everything is ok.
it looks ugly, but, what can i do better?
