Why doesn't any manufacturer create a multimeter that measures current in the same way as voltage?
    by cap__
"Current is measured by inserting a measuring device into the circuit to measure the flowing current. Voltage is typically measured in a circuit in parallel. Why isn't the current calculated from the voltage?"

    Lenovo laptop display isn’t working
    by Fribbs
    Hello,

I’ve inherited a laptop from my brother as he’s bought another.

However, the screen isn’t displaying correctly. See the image for the full picture.

He mentioned that it wasn’t instant - it progressively got worse over time, and it used to sometimes work by tilting the laptop. Although, it looks completely broken now.

It’s worth noting that the laptop screen seems a little loose.

    Any help/guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam...

    Looking for Dell Latitude 5520 / 5530 / 5540 RJ45 network connector replacement
    by diamon
I have a Dell Latitude 5530 with a damaged RJ45 network connector. See the attached pictures.

Have already searched on Farnell / Aliexpress / Ebay and had contact with several suppliers on Aliexpress and Ebay, but they cannot deliver this connector.
Is there someone inside the EU, who has these connector(s) or perhaps defective motherboard(s) for these laptop models I have mentioned in the topic title.

    Pictures of these boards:

    SAMSUNG UE58MU6122 dump file needed
    by unimatrix93
    Dear Community,

I have a Samsung UE58MU6122 with no power LED.

I checked the PSU, all output voltages are present so it's probably good.

Doing some research I found that the corruption of the SPI memory chip can cause this problem and the TV started acting like this after a power outage.

Can somebody please provide a dump file so I can flash it to the IC?

    Thank you!😊

Asus X1403ZA rev 2.1 no power short on main
    by johnbeton
    Hello,

I have an Asus X1403ZA board. Came in with no power or charge light. One screw of the hinges let loose and was dancing around inside the laptop.
I have 19v coming in the first mosfet, but nothing on the source or gate. (also no voltages on other rails, no shorts on coils)
The current resistor and source of the second mosfet are short to ground. I have looked for schematic or boardview, but nothing to be found.

Anyone have tips where to start ?
