In the past several weeks I've learned a lot from this forum and its community especially from all the folks who contributed to THIS thread
With some trial and error I was able to reliably patch BIOS dumps for SVP-locked Lenovo machines up to the 8th generation using the info, tools, and files provided on this forum. After some practice and positive feedback from users I helped I've noticed that, once learned, the process is fairly straightforward, so I've developed a small python script to automate it and allow everyone to patch...

Hi
Ive run into some issues identifying components near the Tristar chip. i have the schematic layout (no component specs)
Could someone help me identify components and specs please.
I would like to know what the bird seed is surrounding the tristar chip.
this area is bare and i need to populate this.

Hey all,
I suspect it has a bad BIOS as computer will not turn on, no power LED only charge LED comes on, and fan will come on at full speed. Looking at the dump, it seems that is is bios Rev 300, uploaded from ASUS
P/N: TP412FA-DS51T-CA
S/N: LAN0LP01D36142F

Hello,
I am trying to repair a power supply for a Vizio M492i-B2.
Before I started:
Fusible Resistor R915 was open.
ZD909 was shorted.
D950B was shorted.
I have replaced the above parts along with a new IC901 / LD7913J
I now have:
165V on the main cap
IC901 Drain pins: 165V
IC901 VCC: 1.1V
IC901 COMP: 1.1V
IC901 BNO: 0.3V
I pulled the Q800 Mosfet and it checked good.
I also tested the two smaller caps C907 and C904B, they both tested close to the rated value.
Does anyone know of anything...
