The kit worked perfectly. My daughter's Shuttle K48 was powering on briefly, and then turning back off. After checking to make sure it was not the power supply, I looked for a replacement motherboard. Seeing that a replacement was either ridiculously expensive, or impossible to get, I decided to try and replace the caps. I used a desoldering braid to wick out most of the solder from the joints, and then had to work the caps out by heating the joints and rocking the cap body from the other side. On the holes where the solder wouldn't wick out completely, I used a 1/32" drill bit to clear the hole. Once I had all the caps replaced, the system came right up, and has been running correctly for a day now.
