Oddly enough, after testing the WD360GD-00FLA1 yet again, it shows 2ms quicker average seeks than it did when I got it, bringing it close to StorageReview's WD740GD. I'm still not sure it's worth the noise, though. And the ST3120026A actually won on 1MiB transfers, suggesting that it has a better caching algorithm than the WD360GD-00FLA1.
