I'm running into an issue with a Lenovo motherboard.

It has a BIOS password; I replaced the physical BIOS chip and even reprogrammed it, but the password remained.

Upon further research, I discovered that the password isn't stored on the BIOS chip itself but rather in the EC (Embedded Controller).

I tried applying a patch to the .BIN file using Lenovo Autopatcher, but the tool failed to do it.

I also attempted to edit the code using HxD and UEFITool.

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't...

I'm trying to unlock the BIOS admin password on a Dell Latitude 3420 (regulatory model P144G001).

Lock code: ends in 8FC8
Chip: Winbond W25Q256JV, 32MB, WSON8 package
BIOS version: 1.15.1

I have a verified backup of the BIOS chip (confirmed with matching checksums across multiple reads).

Could someone help me identify/patch the password block, or point me to a clean reference dump for this exact model/BIOS version?

Hi,
my laptop is stuck in a BIOS password loop after I attempted to clear the password (I nulled it) in the BIOS settings. It now freezes after 3 failed password attempts.
I tried to do a clear CMOS, but there is no visible battery. I sent it in for repair, but it didn't work out. I finally decided to dump the BIOS myself using a CH341A programmer.
Could someone please help clear the password/NVRAM region from my dump?

System/Supervisor Password appeared spontaneously after an interrupted Windows installation (unexpected reboot mid-setup). Never set intentionally. Secure Boot also broken - even official Microsoft bootmgr fails with "security validation or internal error."

I just thought that would be more safe to have a BIOS password in my Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360 NP750QFG-KS2BR in case it is stolen.
I sware that I saved the password in my PasswordSafe app to organize passwords but I didn't and now I can't access the bios. The notebook works normal but I want to do a clean install of windows, that Samsung's version is messy and with a lot of bugs that are stressing.
Is there any people who can access the Samsung's generator program ou could give me some hope? They are charging me and asking me to drive over 300 hundred kilometers...

Hello, I bought X1 carbon 6th from Ebay somehow the laptop is bios locked and I don't know the password and heard that you can short the chip to get through the bios password. Where is the EEPROM chip located, some may say it's underneath the motherboard or above.

After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...

I have a problem with the BIOS password on the Fujitsu Celsius R920 mentioned in the title. The method using the Fujitsu BIOS Unlocker does not work, and there are no jumpers on the motherboard either. Below is the dump.
Please let me know how to remove the password by modifying the BIOS, or send me an unlocked BIOS dump and I will adjust it myself....

So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...

hello everybody, hope you all doing well. i have a hp elitebook x360 1030 g8 laptop with bios lock. i tried with the rcunlocker and hpunlocker but both did not help me then i tried manually by searching active from the bin file through hex then i deleted the nvram and it worked but the problem is everytime i turn on the laptop it pops up a error page of hp endpoint secuirity controller problem but after clicking ok then it works fine. it only comes when i turn on the laptop. can someone help me to fix this? thanks. here i attached 32MB bin file of UEC3 chip with locked and unlocked file too....
