Hi I have a vorwerk vk200 it didn’t turn on nothing. I checked the main board…and on the MiP2f2 I have a short on the vdd pin and the cl pin that should be not good… if I remove the ic the short on that pin stay still…. So I checked the mosfet g10t60 and also they are good. Just wanted to see if I can get some advice on techniques and equipment I should use to try replace the socket on a Gigabyte H610M h v2ddr4 I have.

I was planning on using a heat mat I have that's used for phone, tablet screens, as a base heater than use hot air with a square nozzle on top. Yes I should get a proper preheater but I'm not in the position to go spend 300+ bucks on something I will use every 6 months if I'm lucky. Next expense I need to get is a decent programmer like the RT809H but again it would get used infrequently so hard to justify.

I replaced a keyboard for a friend's Alienware 17 R4 and now when i boot it up it's asking for a system password. I get three tries and it shuts down. Doesn't say anything about being disabled. We called dell and it's $200 for the password. I scoured the web and even tried some websites like bios-pw.org but no luck. They said to enter the HD's serial..but that didn't work. So I am not sure how to interpret the results but the primary circuit on each is 1.078 when on the 2K resistance setting, and the secondary on each measures 0.4 on the 200 setting....

HP messed up by using same BID for 6th/7th gen and 8th gen, same board number, same BID, diferent CPU generation
Latest version for 6th/7th gen CPU is F.52 08328"B" variant, extracting just by running the .exe you will get 08328"A" variant for 8th gen
Do not update to newer version, it will brick

I have an ROG G513RC that has a password locked BIOS. I tried just flahing a new BIOS but it doesn't boot correctly it keeps restarting after the ROG logo appears. Not sure if it is because I flashed an incorrect BIOS or because of the password.
