I have a problem.
The BIOS chip on my Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H appears to be defective. I wanted to read the chip first with the ch431a programmer and then with the t48 and create a dump. However, it always threw an error during verification.
I then bought a new BIOS chip from Aliexpress and loaded an existing dump onto the chip. With the corresponding DMI.
Unfortunately, the laptop now keeps restarting.

My question is, can you simply use the DMI from a foreign dump, or is the motherboard completely lost due to the defective BIOS chip?

to decrypt the DMI on the working dump, edit your S/N and MTM with hex editor (there's 2 blocks, one is a duplicate, edit both), then encrypt it again

Hey, Lenovo 17ACH6H, serial number: PF39AQ7Z, Machine Model: 82JY0055PB, AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor and RTX 3070.

Black screen but keyboard lights up and powers on. When flashing the original Lenovo media (https://download.lenovo.com/consumer...s/gkcn65ww.exe) the laptop beeps and flashes however seems to fail and does not restart. I am unable to provide a dump as the laptop is bricked and I do not have the tools to do it another way. I have tried several bios's on this thread, including post 5, by putting the .bin on a USB however to no avail, but for some reason installing...

Hello guys. I have a legion 5 17ach6h with Ryzen 7 5600h and RTX3060.
It was working perfectly fine but the cpu was overheating so i decided to replace thermal paste. I bought one from local hardware store and replcaed. it looked fine then the fan started to spin at the full speed after about 1 minute and then immediately shut off after 10 seconds. Then I though if i have done something wrong, so i cleaned up everything with IPA and put new thermal paste. but the issue was still there. The problem: If power adapter attached then in boot loop after every minute or so - sequence: LED on power button illuminates, keyboard backlight illuminates for some seconds the turns off - black screen, no sounds, caps lock doesn't work
