Hi everyone

I have an [B]HP PRO 3500 G2 MT[/B] which came with an Intel G2030, I updated its microcode to latest to support i5-3470 which I'm using right now, [B]ME version[/B] is [B]latest 8.1[/B], and I managed to get an i5-3570K but when I insert it and start the PC, I get CPU unsupported message then PC shuts off, I found out that [B]i5-3470[/B] and [B]i5-3570K[/B] share same microcode, so technically it should work, but maybe HP is blocking it somewhere BIOS level.
So that's the best I could do, now I'm seeking help from the experts.

Are the motherboard soldered usb connectors are also not working?

Check / reset bios.

Check the usb cable harness that mates with the motherboard. Is it seated correctly?

Hi. It is very possible that the upstream usb controller is damaged due esd surge. Have seen many designs where there is zero protection against such esd events. If you have a free expansion slot, consider to buy a host adapter to supply the usb port function. Otherwise you will need to review the chip that is the usb host controller or is the usb hub. Most likely that is the defective component.
