Hello. I have an Elitedesk 705 G4 SFF Bios Q16. Is it possible to inject the Q19 Microcodes into the Q16 Bios? I would like to Intall a Ryen 7 Pro 2700 CPU into this motherboard. I have no issues with the Bios or the PC. Thanks.

hi...HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Small Form Factor PC bios and ec needed...i will send the copy of main bios and ec and a 9meg bin file that extracted from hp recommended file for the serial number of this pc...i dont have the knowlege to create a working file from orginal file...also i checked the same requested bios forums for this model tought may working for mine to but they didnt...with my orginal corrupted bios cpu detect and get warm but with those files cpu did not detected...thank you for sharing... -

Hello Could someone help me please? I've tried to update my BIOS on HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Small Form Factor with the programmer CH341A and AsProgrammer utility. I downloaded BIOS from HP site but realised that size of those BIOS is bigger only when program sad "BIOS file is bigger than flash". Before that I did a dump, so I've tried to flash it back but system won't start with post code signals that BIOS is incorrect (2 long signals with white led and 4 short signals with the red one). What I did wrong? What should I do now? Can somebody help me to fix it?

HP Elitedesk 800 G4 SFF BIOS/EC firmware error (Code 5.2) - Fixable?
Hello guys,
I stupidly tried to read out my BIOS & EC flash (with a clamp). This didn't work, I only read FF's. But after this operation, the PC is not longer turning on, just beeps 5 times (and blinks red) then 2 times (blinks white). The manual says this is the error code for: "The embedded controller cannot find valid firmware.".
I think it locked itself because of my experiment. Is this fixable? I now removed both chips from the board and dumped them, I attach the files in this post hoping someone can help me fix my stupid error. Thanks so much in advance anyone...Last edited by surcharge6650; 12-11-2025, 09:56 AM. -
