I don't have an ESR meter of the money to buy one. Or the money to buy a new monitor for that matter. Anyway, the fuse I jumped is on the inverter board, it's the same board as one that was pictured earlier in this thread.

It's just below the power cord plug.
I've read so much info on 2 seconds to black, and I really think this board is an exception to what is normally the cause.

I have the same problem as many others with the same monitor. The screen goes black after about a second after it it's turned on. I noticed that before this happened the screen would flicker.
After much research, I've found that no one has found a fix. Except a few who have had bad bulbs. There has been much discussion about bad capacitors, but that seems to be a dead end. I tested my caps using an old school method with an ohmeter, and they seem fine.
I think I did make a little progress though. As a last ditch effort to fix...
