Re: Vizio E65-C3
Well the before pic was a few weeks ago. The before pic tonight was like that but without the vertical lines. I had cleaned the ribbon cable that connects the 2 bottom boards together. That may have helped, I dont know. But anyways I said what the heck and removed the side tab bonds and this tv has great picture quality. The tab bonds looked fine though to the eye.

Re: Vizio E65-C3
So if I remove any, remove the ones on the side that has the issue, Right? Nothing to lose. It is trash the way it is so why not!

Re: Vizio E65-C3
If it was yours which tabs would you remove to see if it resolved the problem? Side ones or bottom ones? Lets see if I understand, If I remove the tconn connection for the side that has the problem and if it is not the panel then it should be black with no images, right? And then if they are images or whatever then more than likely the panel is no good, Right?

Re: Vizio E65-C3
Getting ready to get back into this TV. My tab bonds are on the bottom of the panel. There is some or looks like them on the sides but they are not connected to anything.

Re: Vizio E65-C3
I will take it back apart and see what I can see again. Just does not seem possible for the whole screen to work after some tab bonds have been removed.

Re: Vizio E65-C3

Re: Vizio E65-C3
Finally have time to post update. Took all apart and replaced all boards. Still the same. Bought boards on assumption that one of them had went out. Apparently I was lied to about tv not being dropped or something. Very small piece of actual screen missing near one of the flat cables that is molded to the screen. All of them were fine and did not look damaged but could not do anything to make screen change any at all. So my question is now, Does any one know of any sources maybe to order the actual replacement panel. I know probably big money. Looked all over the...

Vizio E65-C3
I picked up a Vizio E65-C3 and was told it lost video and audio was choppy. Went ahead and got a mainboard for it. Installed it and still no video. Well not until I like flexed it from one top corner and video came on. As you see it is not right on the right side of the screen. Could it be the T conn board? Dont know the history of the tv other than what I was told. I sure hope it is not the screen. Please reply if anyone has any thoughts or how I could forsure tell if it was the screen....

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
But if there is no power coming to the board from the main board that means it is the main board, Right? I probed all the wires and get nothing.

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
There is zero voltage coming from the main board to the square board in the middle that the Tcon connects to. This has to be the problem.

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
This main board part number is 1AA4B10N22900_a N7AE, and on the actual tuner(where they say to get the correct number) it shows N7EJ. Why would it have a different number on the tuner than what is on the board?

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
I have the service manual. Is that small connector just a extra one on that board? Makes you think there should be wires going to it.

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
Could you possibly tell me how to do that?

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
New readings after probing a little harder.
Line on/off = 4.97
15v = 15.74
15v = 15.74
GND = 0.00
GND = 0.00
12v = 12.18 on 0.49 off
12v = 12.18 on 0.43 off
12v = 12.18 on 0.40 off
12v = 12.18 on 0.40 off
GND = 0.00
GND = 0.00
D5V = 5.01 on 5.01 off
GND = 0.00
PS on/off = 4.99 on 0.00 off
So what now? I did check the voltage of a big canister that had 400v on it and with power on it only went to 44v. That was on the power board. Can not find a exact main...

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
There is no voltage at all coming from the power board to main board connector. I will try and probe them a little harder today. I was being gentle with the connector. I thought I probed it fine but I try again today.

Re: Sanyo DP52449 audio no video
Got a different tester today at wally world and the main board connector voltage did not change. Others did.The small connector next to the main board connector on the power board with the new tester now reads
NC
BL_ADJ=2.93
BL_ON=3.29
GND
STB5V=5.03
Main board connector voltage stayed the same on or off
Little connector at the top of the power board changed with new tester
LDP-1= off 0.28 on 11.31
LDP-1 = 0.29 off 11.31 on
GND
GND
GND
LCF=0v
12v= 0.33...
