Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
Both sets use the same LED strips, the only reason I did the swap the way I did.
The unit has been running for about 6 hours now - without issue. I will check tcon voltages if it acts up again.

Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
The current setup has the panel, panel frame, speakers, power supply board , main board and t con board from the UB unit. There is nothing in the TV from the UY with exception to the steel panel that everything screws to. As you can see from the pics - that steel panel is almost identical, the only difference being the area where the tcon board connects as the UY used a shield and the UB didn't....

Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
All the the components match from the original unit, with exception to the metal backing. Everything fit the same as the original except for the tcom board.
I had already replaced led strips on the 55lb550 and the lcd panel for damaged, so I got the 55lf600 and used all of its pieces with the 55lb550 back.

Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
I added grounds and updated firmware on the TV. You can see the difference in the chassis to the board. Not how I usually want to do things, but thought ripping off the brand new LED strips from the old chassis would have caused more problems.
Will see if problem reappears, I did not make any attempts at this point to adapt any cooling to the IC....

Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
As I am looking over the pictures. I came to the conclusion that the 55LB5550-UY had a shield and the 55LF6000-UB did not. This picture I posted matches what this video screen shot from Shop Jimmy shows. If there is no shield than there is no provision for the silicone pad..am I mistaken?
Next steps:
Add ground wire
Check voltages at Tcon board and replace if needed....

Re: LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
I had brand new LED strips installed in an LG 55LB5550-UY but the panel was damaged. I used that chassis to mount everything from the 55LF6000, and it fit fine - with exception of the tcom board at the center bottom. So I let the board float and secured the wires. It didn't appear that the board needed to be grounded or that there was a heat dissipation need - maybe I was wrong....

LG 55LF6000-UB Screen goes white and bright on occasion
I picked up this TV and did an LED replacement. Seems to work fine - then today the screen goes white and gets all washed out.
Everything when back together fine with the exception of the Tcom board, the chassis was a little different and didn't accommodate mounting - would that cause this problem? It seems to only happen after the tv has been on for a while and is fixed by unplugging it and plugging it back in....

Re: Samsung Plasma pn50c550g1fxza clicking on power up
VS is 212 and VA is 55 according to the label. Those appear briefly when the set is powered up, then drop off. Which according to the fast track is correct for power supply testing.
VSC called for -187 and is currently showing -82. Same reading when the buffer is disconnected. The voltage seems to drop slowly as its measured,

Re: Samsung Plasma pn50c550g1fxza clicking on power up
Replaced X and Y boards. Unit seems to power up. Green led flashes on control board but I have no screen glow at all. The red LED on the front even seems to be having properly with remote inputs. I found a fast track on it - will go through an check voltages but was curious if anyone had a suggestion on where to start.

Re: Need help fixing a Sandisk X300 SSD drive.
Its a common practice to use and SSD drive to handle the system O/S and use a traditional drive for all your data. This was you have the benefit of the SSD but if there is a problem you don't run the risk of loosing any data.
Obviously this is a little tougher to pull off on a laptop....

Samsung Plasma pn50c550g1fxza clicking on power up
This is a 50" plasma that is not powering up. Upon plugging in all I get is clicking from a relay on the power supply board. If I unplug the X main board the unit gives the Samsung tones and appear to come on (minus the screen)
It is a common fault on these units or is it likely that other components have been taken out? Any diagnostic procedures?
