Thanks Rector, that information was perfect and I discovered thereby that I have a Revision2 monitor which explains the different look of the power supply.
I ordered the cap kit from the website lcdalternatives.com and I only paid 17€ including postage from the USA! Their site is very clear and informative.
I enjoy France but not for this kind of stuff, America is great at this kind of business. Thanks again for the link.

Hello all, this is my first post.
Thanks to all the fine helpers who are on this site.
I'm getting ready to try a repair on my HG281D Monitor and I notice that my power board seems different to the photos I'm seeing by other users. I wonder if Europe power boards are different to US. I'm posting a picture and if anyone can enlighten me I'd be most grateful.
