Anyone ever experience this? There are also some vertical lines as well more along the edge. They are fixed lines...almost like burn in....

I got this LCD for free on CL. After doing the cap repair, it booted right up. I believe this is an LC switching power circuit .

Problem: I'm getting slightly dark, fixed, horizintal lines that are spaced unevenly throughout the screen. It's more apparent on lighter backgrounds.

I've tried different inputs (vga, hdmi, hdmi2). All the same.

Could this be because of a poorly done cap repair? If not what could cause this?...

Definitely no glow. Just triple checked it in complete darkness....

I have the LG plasma 42PQ10-UB. It doesn't display a picture, but there's still sound. I took off the back cover and didn't see any bulging caps.



I see a green blinking light in the back (seems like morse code):

And lastly, this is me turning on the tv. It makes a loud click noise when turning on. I could have swore it stayed red, but now stays blue:

I have a Dell 1703FPT monitor and one day it just went blank. Switched to new VGA cable and DVI cable. No avail.

Symptoms:

1) When plugging in, it displays a scrambled image (see attached pic) rotated 90* CCW.

2) Monitor glows along the edges but no display

3) Green power button stays lit and cannot be turned off. Monitor can't be turned off either.

4) With VGA cable unplugged, it doesn't display anything like "monitor disconnected". Just a blank screen w/ glowing edges.

5) I've tried it on 2 other...
