Re: DP50747 Question
Does the fact that we're good on Vs but nothing on Va point us to something on the power board for sure? A short somewhere? I'm just not sure how to proceed. I've read some people say that there was another common piece outside of the caps that goes bad on this board and needs to be replaced, but could never find out exactly what it was.

Re: DP50747 Question
Let me know if any of these won't suffice for now or if you think any other board pics would help.

Re: 42pc3dv Zsus Question
I did check the 2 fuses on the Zsus board and they're good, so I'm guessing the whole Zsus board needs to be replaced (or the hybrid chip under it). Does that sound about right to you? I do see some bulging caps on the power supply board that I'll replace for sure, but from what I understand the fact that it turns on when that board is unplugged and it also has a cold heatsink it is probably the board itself, you think? Thanks for the help tom66!

Re: DP50747 Question
OK, here are some pics of the power board connections. I left all plugged in so you could see which ones cables aren't used on if that's helpful (there are multiple connectors that aren't used)....

Re: 42pc3dv Zsus Question
Does the picture I attached look like what the symptoms might be with only the Ysus board attached? There's definitely something wrong with the Zsus, just wanted to make sure that with Ysus only attached it would still be grainy in the menus and a little black in the corner on the good side.

Re: DP50747 Question
Gotcha, I'll post some pics when I get back home, can't thank you enough for the help! Are you thinking I have a diode or chip that has fried out when those capacitors went bad?

Re: DP50747 Question
Actually, to make sure I know what pictures you're looking for, are you talking about taking pictures of the actual circuits that I was testing on in the power fail circuit chart?

Are you talking about on the foil side or the component side? I'll upload what you're looking for this evening.

Re: DP50747 Question
OK, I tested all of the points that were referred to in that manual you sent me, and the only 2 things that didn't come back correct were the pin 36 on the IC801 CPU (pin 32 was correct, and I'm not sure if I was supposed to get a reading on pin 36) and also the D1621 on IC1620 is coming back at about 7 volts (instead of 33v). These were all tests on the Power Failure Circuit page. I did notice that there was no chip in the D1683 spot (on K8B at 12V) but I did measure the little solder pad that was in its place and got about 5 volts (the manual said I should...

Re: DP50747 Question
Thanks for the reference manual, it looks like I'm getting 5 volts at pin 32 and nothing at pin 36 (if I'm reading that right that I'm supposed to be testing 36 too).

Re: DP50747 Question
Here's pics of the Ysus, Zsus & the left portion of the power supply board (since it's still mounted in the TV)....

Re: DP50747 Question
OK, here are a few pictures that may help. I currently have the power board still mounted, let me know if you need me to get a picture of the full board....

Here's a picture of the board, I see the points you're talking about, but there are no connectors in place there....

Re: DP50747 Question
Let me look around on the board, do you know where abouts I might find these points? Will it be a pin or on a diode or something?
Totally appreciate the help!

Re: DP50747 Question
No, I only have access to an analog one at the moment. Is there any simple testing I can do with it until I can get ahold of a digital one? Curious what it means when you don't get any reading off of the Va.

42pc3dv Zsus Question
Hi guys, have a 42pc3dv that I think I have a bad Zsus on. Sometimes I can get it to power on with Y and Z plugged in, but it's not powering on properly right now. Either way, I get the same result as when I unplug the Zsus board. I've attached a picture of what I'm getting on the screen when it's powered on. Obviously only half of the screen is showing, but the half that is working isn't complete, so I was wondering if that would be normal. If you look at the top-right corner, you'll see it's a little bit blacked out even on the good side. And the menus/channel listing isn't crisp. Just wanted...

Re: DP50747 Question
A quick update to this as I had a couple of details wrong before...it is D3 through D5 that light up and go out, D2 is never lit. Does anyone know what D2 represents?
Also, I've tested the power supply, Vs is getting the correct voltage, but I'm not getting anything on Va at all. I'm still getting a slight flash of the screen each and every time I try powering on. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help!

DP50747 Question
I had a question about a dp50747-01 Sanyp plasma TV. I'm getting the typical "powers on then relay clicks and it shuts off". I replaced 9 bad caps on the power supply board that now I get a brief flash of the screen before it shuts right back off...it didn't do that before. I'm looking at the 4 led lights on the logic board and am not sure what they mean. They are labeled as D2 through D5. When I initially power it on, they all light up, then all go out but D2. After a few seconds along with the relay that clicks and it powers off, D2 goes out too. I get these symptoms over and over....

Re: Samsung DP50747 Powers on then off
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the logic board led lights mean? When powering up, all 4 light up, d3 through d5 go out really quick, then d2 goes out along with the 2nd relay click about 2 seconds after the others go out. Right before d2 goes out, I get a brief flash from the screen...it pops on then off right away.
