• Re: CTX S176A Clicking Monitor Repair

Another update.
Opened my forth monitor and this one has different caps. It has 4x1000uf 25v Teapo caps and 2x470uf 25v ?????

Any thoughts, all labels are the same on the board. The fault is slightly different in that the monitor only flashes once and the green power light stays on but there is no image.

Thanks in advance.

quick update.
Tested one with the Panasonic lower ripple capacitors and they also resolved the problem.
Anyone got any thoughts?

• CTX S176A Clicking Monitor Repair

Hi all,

Thanks for all the help in the forums from all the contributors. Here's my contribution, hope it helps someone out there.

Fault

Monitor powers on, image is displayed for a second then monitor clicks and goes blank, come on for a second, clicks and goes blank. This cycle repeats infinitely.

Details

There is a power board inside the monitor, S9 Series Power Board rev 1.0a, 11S92-008A. S9-P08A10-1103.PCB are all the markings I could find on the board.

Solution....

• Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hi everyone. I've got some recent experience fixing a DAB radio and a CTX monitor. I read some posts here that helped me fix the monitor so I thought i'd try and share what I've learned.
