the thing i see in that surface mount components are 334 and ZDE i dont know what it means.. but that is what i can see on it..

That's great big daddy now my only hope is buy that chip 8309...I'm definitely sure that it will fix my problem.
Sell door sorry for the delay I am busy at work I got no time checking the parts

    im using a sanwa rd701

    heres a reference pic

    http://www.e-v-t.ru/imgbig/sanwa/pc520m/pc520m_1433.jpg

my doubt now is the stm8303 or stm 8309 unfortunately i don't know were to purchase these online..

@lexwalker yeah it does that black syndrome..

i saw the sparks in the connectors.. selldoor is right even if i did put some glue it can still damage the poor insulated areas but why is it if i use a different inverter the backlights are good?

thanks for sharing me your ideas...

about the stm8303 and 8309 i may have my fear of not having them purchased locally here in the Philippines. What i need to know is how to ensure that these stm8303/stm8309 are working good. i don't know how to test them using the digital multimeter.

    Sorry about that..

thanks to the picture but i dont know how if im going to use the digital multimeter.. i need help on that one.

thank you, looking forward for another result...

oh by the way what happened to my LCD monitor...

OK so here's what i did.. first of i have this http://www.goodluckbuy.com/images/detailed_images/sku_73585_2.jpg,

i have to use this link instead..

anyway yes the LCD backlight is indeed working good using the supply of that light that i used to test.

In my experiment i also used the ccfl lights and use it in the board and what i found out is, it lights up then turn off... i dont know whats wrong with it this time. could it be theres another component that is faulty? all electrolytic caps are already replaced...

    @selldoor..

i manage to test the backlight of the LCD monitor and there is not short circuit.. LCD backlight is all good..

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

i tested the LCD to my surprise the backlight is flickering then disappears i hear like a leaking sound of high voltage... what i did a while ago was resoldering the mosfets and perform some test.. the 13V become 14V.. but still it will not provide any video to the screen... i need to know more about the mosfet cause it think they may be the culprit.. stm8309 i think?? or is it stm 8303??

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

hello there, i read the link you provided to me, and the issue is some how similar to my problem.

they have the same pins as well and yes all of it is working good except pin 2 which is getting high around 16V(with fuse resistor) - 18V(no fuse resistor)

anyway the issue on that forum was not known if e3sgr was able to fix his monitor. anyway im not giving up on this yet.. later i will be doing a lot tests on it.. including how he tried to put in a 1k resistor to force it to turn on the backlights.

    thanks...

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

greetings... holidays make me busy fixing my things.. now i have the voltage reading for the components needed.. the 5V voltages are in good condition, yes i do understand logic circuits, they need 5 volts to operate to get low or high signals.

anyway the MBR20100CT has two terminals with 1 common cathode. the first i test has voltage reading of 5.33V on each anode.. while the other MBR20100CT has a higher voltage which is 18.88V and i tested this without the fuse resistor to determine whats goin on...

also i have some voltage data for...

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

@budm, i'll give it a try anyways, can you provide me some voltage reading on the MBR20100CT, its hard to guess with the correct voltages for this power supply, im kinda lost since i dont have schematic diagram for this.,

by the way i got some concern with the supply voltage for the 13V, i checked the voltage on it and gives me a 16V reading.. were should i start checking and also the other component with the 6pins, im not sure if that also is damage..

    thanks in advance
    happy holidays to everyone...

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

    greetings everyone...

i manage to replace the fuse resistor and happens to check and suspect that the mbr20100ct which is a switch mode power rectifiers could be faulty. i am not aware about the proper voltage data on these components and needs assistance from everyone, since i dont have any clue on what will be their voltage reading. if only i have a schematic diagram for the mckinley 22 power supply of the 2253lw samsung monitor i can fix this with no problem at all..

    regards to everyone out there...

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

    yes the same problem..

did check some critical components... like the fuse resistor which i believe is open since there is no continuity.

i did replace the caps also same problem with ab101

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

best thing is provide some test points were in i can compare the voltage data for each critical components.. one of my observation is that the 13.0V gives me 16V which is for the LCD video controller area. im not sure if there is problem on that part. tomorrow i'll do a lot of testing and check the flow of each voltage pathway..

and oh by the way I used 1000uF/25V since its hard to find 820uF here.. will that hurt the power supply??

    Re: Samsung 2253LW

yup i just did replaced the 820uF/25V caps near the output area for the ccfl, high pitch noise is heard and tested some components, problem is the green fuse resistor has no continuity using the tester with beep continuity.. trying to find out if the mbr20100ct is bad, led indicates power which is the blue led. almost the same problem with ab101
