A classic fix for many of these is simple:
Remove main battery & disconnect power charger.
Press on switch to discharge any residual power.
Reconnect batter & charger then try to turn it on.
I believe the problem has something to do with NVRAM getting goofed up every once in a while. Very common on DELL & Toshiba laptops...

There are some specialty batteries available that have high current and deep cycle but you pay a heft premium for them. Try the coiled cell lead acid batteries for best of both worlds.Leave a comment:

Re: SATA power connector: which moron invented it?
I happen to like SATA connectors because they are much easier to connect than the old style data and power connectors. Molex is notorious for pushed pins & poor contacts. So far i have not had those issues with SATA.Leave a comment:
