Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
Hi, thank you all for your replies. I got to the stage where I couldn't bare it anymore and I ordered a working power board. It arrived today, but makes the same silly noise as with the suspect power board. And it doesn't work. My next suspect is the back light LED's, anyone ever tried to repair such thing? Does it worth bothering? I will disassemble it anyway, but for the moment thus project is on standby.

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
12.7V is on pin 1 of IC9101 with main board disconnected, with or without resistor connected.

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
Main board disconnected, PS_ON connected to 5V through a 1k resistor.
Voltages on Vamp and B13V are 12.7V
Voltages on A5V and B5V are 5.3V backlight is off, won't come on.
The same voltage readings can be measured even if PS_ON is not connected to 5V

Connected PS_ON to 5V and there is 12.7V on Vamp, B13V and 5.3V on B5V. These voltages are here with or without connecting PS_ON to 5v. Backlight does not come on though. Voltage at CNL802 118V on both cases.

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
I understand. So, if cord is plugged in(nothing else), 5V should be present and not 12.7V, right? But 12.7V is also present. Normally, if pin Power On/Off on connector CMN803
is connected to 5V 12.7 should come alive, right?

No voltage on BLU_ON at connector if this is you question

I re-checked and I confirm, standby 12.7V, power on drops close to 0V

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
Voltage on CM852 is same 118V
I am manually trying to power up the board from CMN803 power on pin. Before power on pin 1 of IC9101 has 12.7V. After power on this voltage drops to almost zero, a few millivolts.
Also measured voltage on CP814S before and after power on and the voltage drops slightly 2-3V
Can these two capacitors be faulty, CP814S and CP815S ? They are connected in parallel
Thanks

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
DC voltage on CP814S is 347V
Voltage on CNL802 is around 104V at start-up and goes up to 118 in about two seconds. It is not higher than 118V, tried multiple multimeters, but with one of them, a fluke 113, the board behaves differently when connected to ground and pin 1 on CNL802. The difference is in the buzzing that becomes continuous and the fluke measures around 73V at this stage. The red LED blinks twice, pause, and repeats.

Re: Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
With the LED connector disconnected on TOP1+ the same voltage can be measured. Not on the rest of the pins though.
The TV cannot be turned on. It is digital touch buttons and doesn't seem to respond to them.
As the cord is plugged in, red LED blinks a few times and goes out.

on CNL802 reference to ground
1.TOP1+ 118V,
2. N.C.
3. TOP1- 67V,
4. N.C.
5. TOP2+ 67V,
6. N.C.
7.TOP2- 18V
8. N.C.
9. IF2

Board is BN44-00460A
These are the best pictures I can take with maximum light that I have.

Samsung UE32D5520 buzzing PSU, no picture
Hello everyone,
Got this nice monitor for a while now, I struggle to make it work again, and I read that here might be some very nice people that could point me in the right direction to repair it.
Under power the backlight won't come on, a buzzing sound starts and then fades away after a few seconds, then it starts again. Can't tell exactly from where, but I think it's the transformer in the middle of the power supply board, or around it.
The red LED in the front of the tv flashes five times, then 2-3secs off. Probably this is an error code, cant find a...

Re: Can I ask a mains electric meter problem here?
Hey,
Thanks for your quick reply.
It's kind of a wierd story, if you want to skip the drama just skip to the end two paragraphs. We rent this house from May last year(2019) and we didn't move in just in July. We picked this especially because of the existing solar panels that are installed on the roof.
So there is a separate main grid meter and one that measures unused electricity generated from the solar panels that is pushed into the grid. The main meter should not register this as positive...

Can I ask a mains electric meter problem here?
Hi everyone,
This is a forum I like very much. I come here often to find useful information and almost every time I get what I come for. Members are very nice and information is nowhere else to be found in such short times.
Recently I had problems with my mains electricity meter, Can I ask my question about it here, I can't find any related topics. If I am not aloud, please delete this or move to the corresponding place.
Thank you!

Re: Valeo AC650/690 PRO scales, opamp, PIC controller fault
Hi Retro-Hipster,
Thanks for your reply.
I measured before and after op-amp. But in in between op-amp and PIC there is an A/D converter. There are no shorts here.
Thanks for the tip regarding calibration. Searching the net I found a manual which sais there is a menu that allows calibration of the TANK scale, it is a bit awkward as I had to put on the scale a sample weight that measures in between 10 and 15kg for reference. Six plastic bottles of 2l water measures 12kg so i used them to recalibrate and...

Re: Valeo AC650/690 PRO scales, opamp, PIC controller fault
Thanks redwire, it might be as you say.
Here are some pictures of the board.
it looks messy around the op-amps as I desoldered them multiple times. One of the traces come up. I had to use micro wire to re-do the connection....

Re: Valeo AC650/690 PRO scales, opamp, PIC controller fault
To update you all i have made some further testing on the CONTROL BOARD.
On the input of the deat port(REFRIGERANT TANK)there is around 1.6V which goes lower or higher as I press on the scale.
This voltage can be measured on the output pin of the op-amp as well. And on the input pins of the A/D converter. All three input ports behave in the same way.
Can it be, that the input pin for the TANK is dead on the A/D converter?

Valeo AC650/690 PRO scales, opamp, PIC controller fault
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has knowledge and kindness to help me repair an aircon top up machine control board.
This unit came in and the owner described that one of the scales are no longer working. It has three scales, OIL IN, OIL OUT and refrigerant TANK. So, the refrigerant tank scale is not moving at all when checked through the menu. I've checked the scale, and it's all fine, it has its voltage supply and gives signal back into the control board. Connectors on the control board to the three scales are identical, cables are interchangeable, and I did switched...
