Panasonic Viera G20 54in. W/ A Board From 50in?
I need to replace an A Board on my Viera G20 54 inch Plasma and have been holding out for a decently priced part. A really good deal popped up in my area for the same set in the 50 inch model and I was thinking about buying it to harvest the part. The part numbers are very close and upon closer inspection the boards themselves look identical in every way. Does anyone know if the 50 inch board will work in the 54 inch television?
Thanks!

Re: PN50B400P3D 50" Samsung Plasma Won't Turn On.
Bummer. I hope it works out. Let me know if you come across a good way to determine if the panel is bad. I'm trying to take that out of the equation now before I start buying parts. If you decide to sell your parts... let me know...

The OP has replaced the Y-main, X-main, then control board and finally PSB with no change in behavior to the set. Hoping to pinpoint the problem before throwing parts at it. The thread has now gone completely cold.
I'm going to get my hands on a better MultiMeter and test the board again....

All boards appear to be very clean with no visual signs of trouble that I can find so far. Caps look great. Back of boards look good as well (haven't pulled out x main yet).
After doing some reading, tried powering up the TV without the Y and X main connected. Like many others, I got the...Last edited by photoeye; 12-03-2013, 11:00 PM.
