I felt I had nothing to lose so I took a Weller soldering gun with a flat iron attachment, and carefully melted the top layer of the cable exposing the six wires. FIXED...

Gateway LP2407 FFC broken
I replaced the caps in the power supply board but noticed some of the ends of the ribbon cable were bent, and when I tried to straighten them out, one broke off, so much for testing my fix. Who sells them, makes them, has one as a spare part? Thank you for looking/responding to my post.

Seiki SE322FS w/sound/no video
I saw this 32" TV sitting by the garbage cans so I went to the door and asked permission to take it. The gentleman said, "lost receipt, son plays games on it day and night, only had it about 6 months, has sound but no video, take it. First thing I did was rebuild the power supply. After replacing 14 Capxcon capacitors with Jackcon's I still got sound but no picture. So while waiting for the gobbler to quit pretending to be lamb, I tore the TV down further and found a blown LED. There are three strips, each having 10 LED's. My name is Gary; I live in the state of New York. My interests began when I did some housework for a computer back in the 80's. Mission complete I arrived home with my machine!
