Hi I have taken a photo
It was a beige colour I think it is probably a small resistor maybe to create a seperate supply for the proccessor side. This photo shows that I really need to start using my temperature controled iron as I have made quite a mess of the tracks. Must try harder !

ASUS A52F laptop power connector
Hi everyone I have made a mistake that I hope you can help me correct. I remove the old DC connector but accidently removed a small surface mount componet that was mounted right next to the positive terminal. I have tried to find a circuit so that I can identify the component but ive had no luck. would anyone know what the componet is, I know its a long shot but I don't know what else to do.
