Re: Dell Vostro A860 a Typical Problem and Challange for our tech people
I once had the same problem with a Dell N series. Washed the board along with reflowing the components on it. Never had the same problem on it again.

Thought it would be better I asked. Thankyou....

Re: Are these transistors interchangeable?
Its a 4835d 30v P channel, while the other is a 4407 30v P channel too. I was simply asking if they are compatible, considering both specsheets pretty much read the same specs.

Are these transistors interchangeable?
Im trying to fix a no power Lenovo edge 520 laptop. There are two power switching transistors 4835D, out of which one seems to be out of function. No reading by the multimeter when tested with ground. I have a spare board that has the 4407 transistors on it, and I was wondering if I could change the 4835D with the 4407?
Spec sheets are here: http://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp?Searchword=4835D

Dell Vostro keyboard metal touched motherboard
Hello people, while testing a backlit keyboard on a cousins dell vostro v131 I accidentally touched the keyboards metal feet onto the running motherboard which ultimately caused the board to shutdown. Now when I power the laptop on, the power light blinks for half a second and turns off. Continues to do it whenever you press the power button.
The battery charges
Cmos battery removed and tried, no go
Different rams tried, CPU is builtin.
Posting pics of where the keyboard tangs (marked in yellow
) may have touched (just a guess) and up and bottom...

HP G6 DC/DC controller Hot-to-touch
Hi guys,
So apparently from running top notch one moment, the laptop started smoking, and later went completely dead. Now whenever you feed power to the motherboard, it starts to repeat the same cycle (burn and smoke).
TPS51123 was getting hot so had it replaced with a TPS51124, but the motherboard continues to smoke when applied powered. With or without the controller.
What could cause this to happen?
Pictures attached....Last edited by Rambo; 11-22-2013, 02:45 PM.
