Thanks again!

Re: LG 32LF580V - No picture but has sound
Thanks, i'll probably end up buying the set of 3 but we'll see how things pan out first. An led tester is definitely something i should consider buying also, would have made things a whole lot easier here. Thanks again.
Sure, although please bare in mind i have very little experience with all this. My dad will help out as he used to fix tvs but he is retired now and the tvs he fixed were the old crt tvs, he pretty much has no experience in fixing flat screen tvs either.

Re: LG 32LF580V - No picture but has sound
Hi neil, thanks for the reply. Must all the LEDs be replaced or can i replace just a single strip? I'd rather cut down on costs if possible and i'm finding that the single LED strips are significantly cheaper.
Also, can i just confirm, is it definitely the backlights? Is there no other reason why this would be happening? Faulty mainboard or t-con?
Thanks again for the replies guys, very much appreciated!

If it is the backlights, do all the strips have to be replaced or just the strips that have faulty LEDs?...

LG 32LF580V - No picture but has sound
Hi guys, hoping someone can help me with this problem. I have a LG32LF580V, the tv powers on but has no picture, when holding a torch close to the screen in a dark room the picture is then visible.
My initial suspicion was faulty backlights, but as i have no experience replacing LEDs and also knowing that replacing LEDs is a difficult procedure to undertake i decided to blindly buy a new power supply in the hope that this will solve the issue, it did not, i had exactly the same problem with the new power supply. So here i am, looking for help, any ideas on what the issue could...

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
Thanks for the links mate, opted for the whole board for the reason you suggested above. Although, unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.
Anymore suggestions guys?...Last edited by donst; 01-31-2015, 07:58 AM.

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
So after discovering the transformer was indeed faulty after re-measuring after detachment from the board i purchased a new inverter board but the problem persists.

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
Soldered the legs again but still it gives me nothing. Unfortunately removing the transformer did not solve the problem either.
What should i look to do now? Replace inverter board/transformer? Is it possible to purchase just the transformer from somewhere? I've already bought a main board when i jumped the gun a bit so i'm hesitant on spending too much more.
All help appreciated, thank you.Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
Ok, i've taken a picture around the connector, it's not the sharpest but i can't get it any sharper. See attached photo.
Transformers 1-6 : 6026876NB16 (GP) -04
Transformers 7-8 : 625B76TF04 (GP) -04
Inverter P.N : E206453 V144
I've also measured all windings of transformers and 1-8 (1 being top) and they all measure around 1.4k to 1.7k except for the second one. The second transformer, the top winding measures absolutely nothing whilst the bottom winding does. The ...

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
Hi budm, thanks for the replies.
Yes, sorry i should have mentioned in my OP that i measured all fuses on inverter. All fuses (f2-f5) measure at 24v.
Regarding your previous post, sorry i'm not entirely sure what either the 24vdc or the BL_ON fuses exactly are or where they are to be located?
Thanks again.
Edit: Also worth mentioning that two blown caps (cm860 and cm870) were found on power board that i subsequently replaced.Last edited by donst; 01-21-2015, 04:58 PM.

Ok, just tried unplugging the lvds cable from the main board and nope the panel does not light up. Everything remains the same.

Samsung LE37R87BD - Sound but no picture.
Hi all, looking for some help with a Samsung LE37R87BD.
The TV set has no picture but does have sound. At first i thought the issue may be with the AV panel, but i've since replaced the supposed bad AV panel with one that i know is in full working order, and the problem persists.
When the TV set is first turned on the backlight turns on for a split second and also displays the extension, but no picture. When removing the cable and plugging it back in again on the inverter board the picture displays for about a second. The same occurs when you wiggle it about. The...

SAMSUNG -UE40ES6300- Horizontal pixel line
Hi,
The TV has a thin pixel line running right across it, could it possibly be the T-Con board? Do i need a replacement panel? All help appreciated, purchasing replacement panels would not be an issue.
Pictures attached....

Re: Samsung LE40A85651M vertical lines issue
Thanks for the reply.
How would i go about troubleshooting this issue and finding out what exactly the problem in the set is? I know you've stated that there is a huge probability that it is a failing display problem but how can i narrow it down to be absolutely certain that it is? Other than purchasing replacement panels.

Re: Samsung LE40A85651M vertical lines issue
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Can't seem to gain access to the service menu. I've tried various methods (speed and timing wise) but still unable to get into the service mode.
Please find images attached below. I've taken a few in order to get the clearest pics possible for you.
Tom, Dang, i've turned the contrast down lower and the lines do indeed disappear. That said turning down the contrast does not remove the faint lines completely, when i access the menu or change...
