    The problem is in the main board, not the power board. The D124 diode reads 1100 with the diode tester (while still soldered to circuit). Should be around half that value.

    D124 is a 1A 100V rectifier (service manual says it should be a GS1B, but it is an [URL="http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/datasheets_pdf/M/1/M1.shtml"]M2[/URL]). I replaced it with an M4 (1A, 400V) from a really broken board from another device. And... IT WORKS NOW!

    I also replaced nearby caps while trying to repair the board, so it is possible that C124 was also...

    Hi, I've got two identical HannsG monitors like this, one of them has this same problem. Boards look exactly like the ones already posted, no sign of anything damaged.

    @graymon76321: I think your readings are ok, check them with the service manual [URL="http://elektrotanya.com/hannstar_hg216d_sm.pdf/download.html"]here[/URL].

    Both monitors were making that buzzing sound previously described, I resoldered C805, L805 and DS-3319. Great improvement, nearly silent now.

    Tried the working power...
