Ok I found 2 fuses on the master 1 board and 2 fuses on the slave 1 board
...all check good. marked F12A/72V and 63V
I didn't see any other fuses especially on master 2 and slave 2...

Where are the fuses located on the inverter boards? it must be a chip type of fuse or Im not seeing something right.Leave a comment:

Wow thanks for all the replys!!! I have indeed made some temporary jumpers for now and TV has not changed...the 4 boards are like $31 a piece and for some reason that jumper which I need 2 of are $29..So I will check digikey as the other prices are from ebay.I cant replace just the jumpers because the actual plastic is burnt and brittle so it basically falls apart.If anyone knows the part # for that jumper on digikey that would help a lot.The Slave boards did take most of the burn so my main problem must be there I would think.Leave a comment:

I assume this is a bad sign with 30 views and no replys...I was able to remake the jumper wires but the TV does the same thing..Turns on but no backlight or picture at all using flashlight..Im scared that even if I replace all these backlight boards that there still may be other issues

VIZIO E550VL Obvious Damage Need help
I just got this Vizio E550VL and took the back off...It has a Master 1 and 2 backlight inverter board on one side and the other side has Slave 1 and 2...The cable that connects between them is burnt bad....The TV itself does turn on but No picture or backlight...Im not sure on sound....Is this repairable or do I have to buy all new backlight boards master and slave?... -

Thanks for all your help Tom66 and the heads up on the 3,500v before I destroyed my multimeter
I got the new power board today and the TV is fixed now...I am using it as my computer monitor right now and its great

Well the new board will be here tomorrow but I still want to find out what went wrong on this one...The only thing I can see as far as maybe physical damage is in the following picture...It looks a little wet on the left side for some reason..Does that mean its leaking and bad? And does anyone know what voltages are supposed to come out of that piece so I can check to see if it is bad?...Leave a comment:

Thanks for the help I ordered a refurb power board as I cant see any physical signs of burns anywhere and Im not very good at checking capacitors and stuff After I get the board in I will check back with progress

Hey I was watching this tv and adjusting color settings when I hear a pop and now I have no backlight but sound still works....I can see the screen if I use a flashlight and the power stays on just no picture...I thought maybe the backlight board but I came here to ask the experts.I see no physical signs that any of the capacitors bulged out but Ill post pics.... -
