ECS G320: testing with top cover off (external KB+mouse), with legends, sorry for the low quality of pic, and some legends written in portuguese (PT-PT), next to the CPU fan is a mod: i added "audio stereo line-in" , using the audio signals from the CD-ROM/DVD drive, an improvised cable can be seen curled on top of CPU fan, another mod is the relocated clock-batt (originally only replaceable by dismantling the whole laptop)

pics from my ECS G320 laptop, main caps replaced June 2012, with "cheap" caps, only physicaly bigger than originals, hoping they withstand better "the effort", i'm using it as of november 2013, (Laptop was bought new feb 2006) -

I've been tinkering with electronics since my teens (mid 80's), was a rookie at sony (main repair center in portugal) during 1990, studied electronics engineering, but never graduated, repaired small and medium [I]private phone exchanges[/I] for some time in 1997.
Mainly repaired TVs, VCRs, audio stuff, home appliances, salvaged stuff and whatnot, and many power supplies "inside" and "outside", including PC stuff, recently some LCDs,...
