Hi there, I'm new to this forum, so am not sure if this is the right place to post this request. I'm trying to fix a Pioneer DV-S6D DVD player that is not powering on, but has that annoying blinking stand-by light symptom. I checked out the pcbs, and the problem seems to be with the PSU PCB (PSU Assy VWR1316).
I did some DMM tests as follows:
- main fuse and microfuses (P211 & P611) are intact and not blown - not sure about R711 (supposed to be a microfuse as well?)
- Ceramic Cap C151 appears slightly toasted, so I will desolder and test out of circuit (not done...

I'm new to this forum, but found this site to be immensely helpful with
all the various info on caps and such, so I also wanted to join the community.
I'm still a newbie at electronics repair, but have a great interest, so hope
