Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
Update...
Bit the bullet and bought a matching power supply and SMPS board for $60. TV is fully functional now! Turns out the OPC/Power LED sequence code was correct. Thanks for the help everyone and good luck to the others experiencing issues with their set.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
I pulled the wire out of the connector that plugs into the power supply. Then placed one end of the resistor on the PNL_POWER pin on the power board and the other end at the BU5V pin. Checked the resistor to make sure I had 5V going to it and then hit the power button on the TV. Nothing at either UR15V pins

Jumped PNL_POWER to 5V standby with 1K resistor and still got nothing at both UR15V pinsLast edited by BradBerger; 11-08-2014, 12:17 AM.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
I see no voltage at all at PNL_POWER pin when pressing power switch. Relay still makes the same noise as it did in my previous video.

Nothing. Mine attempts to power up for about half a second before the relay on the power board clicks and it's done.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
It's hard to tell with my meter because it happens so fast. It's a digital meter but has an animated analog needle which jumps to 5V so I was just assuming that's what it was.
Went back and cycled it a multiple times and Im getting 2.35-3V when my meter flashes the value.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
My set is blinking the same sequence as Clutch1819. Power and OPC together once and then just power once. Then it repeats.
Budm, I will check voltages at that connector ASAP

Ok, here's the short clip of what occurs when plugging the set in or pressing the power button. I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting a direct link. If so, I'll be happy to remove it.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
I get a 5v spike from PS_ON when pressing the power button but still no backlight. Green power LED on the front goes solid when pressing the power button but then returns to its error sequence once the button is released. I took a quick video of the noise the relay is making when a)the set is plugged in and b)the power button is pressed. I will attach it later tonight when I get to a computer.Last edited by BradBerger; 11-02-2014, 03:06 PM.

Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
Hey everyone, I've returned after my first successful Badcaps experience with another broken set. This community was great in helping me diagnose a Vizio about a year ago and this time Im working with a Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U.
Upon plugging the set in, it sounds like one of the relays on the power supply board is powering up, clicking and then nothing happens after that. The power and OPC lights both flash once then the power light flashes once more on its own. My research so far has revealed that this indicates a faulty power supply board.
Not sure if this helps,...Last edited by BradBerger; 11-01-2014, 11:45 PM.

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
Vizparts actually. A bit pricey but overall I am very pleased. Swift shipping and offered a core service with return label already prepared.

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
UPDATE: The TV is now fully functioning!! I was able to track down a complete numbers matching board and we are up and running! Had to pay a bit more than originally anticipated, but in the end I was able to get the TV working for under $100 which is a win in my book. Thanks so much everyone for the help, budm especially! Badcaps will be the first place I go for any other electronics troubleshooting issues I have in the future!
Cheers!

I'll begin the search for the correct numbered board. Thanks

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
No voltage at all at the fuse on the T-CON board. I checked it with both main boards just in case. Nothing. What should I be looking for next?

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
Bit of an update here.
I ordered a replacement main board and just installed it with no luck. Only this time, the white Vizio light comes on as well as the backlight. Then it sits there. No Input screen or anything, just backlight. I have a question about the part numbers on these boards. The original board in the TV was labeled 3637-0502-0150(0H) while the board I received has the part number 3637-0502-0150(0I). Does this different designation in the parentheses make all the difference? Or is something else causing the problem...

So is there anything I can do to avoid replacing the entire board?

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
Sorry about that, like I said not exactly an expert.
Anyway, went back and tested PS_ON and INV_ON again pressing the power button with no difference at all.

Re: Vizio VO370M LCD Orange Light Only
I dont need to be pressing the Power button as I'm testing these do I?
Which pin do you think the PS_ON is, or is it even worth testing it?
If the main board is the problem, would it be easier to just replace it or try to locate the issue?
