Re: TC-P42S1 11 red blinking led help!!
Ordering fans soon. Anything ,like a tool, voltmeter etc I should order while I'm shipping? Have screwdriver and that is about it. What about something like the thing u can check if something is hot or not? A light goes off. What about something to replace the clips? But , theoretically the fans will do that , correct? Having the back off the tv and revealing what goes into a pretty picture is intriguing.

If I leave them jumped then should i find a metal wire or something that is better at conducting power than the clips?

Re: TC-P42S1 11 red blinking led help!!
I just don't remember ever hearing the fans and I am in a fairly small space. But ur saying seeing if I can power the fans before I remove them? Makes sense. I have no problem with paper clips. Got em in pretty good. What is an OEM? Thanks for the links, very helpful.Last edited by kauaidog; 11-04-2013, 02:11 AM.

Re: TC-P42S1 11 red blinking led help!!
Decided to use paper clip. Did as instructed and tested one fan with a no result then the second fan ,B, then on remebering neither fan was going when i opened it up i paperclipped both fans and the tv works!!! pic enclosed with blue paper clip showing and one on B. Question. Is this just a work around? no kids so leaving back off till i find out what is next. I am assuming I need to replace both fans? The purpose of the fan is keeping inside air cooled? The tv is in breezy spot (no AC). Can i keep these paper clipped for a while or what?...

Re: TC-P42S1 11 red blinking led help!!
Better? I am guessing the green board in lower right is the A board. Agin no burns of any kind. I'm kind of dead in the water till i get a jumper wire. Is that what i ask for at the harrdware store? went to one and no luck. Sorry to be so dense I hope u don't get anyone more challenged than myself.
thanks again...

TC-P42S1 11 red blinking led help!!
I have aTC-42S1 I bought new in 2/10. Got 11 blinking lights about a 2 years into use. so about a year now i've been crossing my fingers and sometimes it comes right on and others it takes a time or two. Recently i was on vacation and unplugged tv from the wall. plugged back in when i came home and the tv gave me trouble by not coming on for quite a few tries then it would come on and go off after about 15 minutes. got it too work that night but the next morning all i could get was the tv power on(slight lighting up of screen )then a snap, then go off with 11 blod. Someone was kind enough to email...
