looking to order those caps today or tomorrow. We have just been having an issue with the USPS. No delivery on our street aside from Saturday due to construction since Christmas time! We have also had lost, stolen and damaged mail. DON'T get me started! A 1500 check delivered to the wrong home! Thankfully I have an honest neighbor. I am looking forward to this project. I have already tried the mentioned procedure after failure to no avail. As far as the keying goes the connector pushed right on strangely enough although the fault is still my own user error.

I just want to add. I understand i am in an extremely advanced forum asking for advice from folks that have worked hard and spent much time acquiring information that i am asking for. I do appreciate ANY input i am given here. even if it is " learn more" or "" read more", I am trying. In all honest I am lucky to still have the computer i want to repair. It is actually the only pc i have left after thieving ass holes went through my stuff during the time i was gone from home for year. They stole many thing but left my computer....

Audigy 2 zs platinum pro sound card
Kingston Ram 2 gigs.
Two WD Caviar Hard drives 80 and 200gig,
Antec PlusView II case.
Cd And dvd drive not connected.

I have the exact same monitor and as of tonight the same exact symptoms.

I pressed the power button and it broke. At this point the monitor started to flicker on and off once a second with the green light pulsing at the same time as well as a small click or chirp.
I took it appart and can not see any damage to the actual led or switch.. just the button is broken on the monitor face.

I can see no damage to the small board the led and switch is connect to.

Luckily I have someone here who is familiar with working...
