Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW
Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread! My 245BW died last week, and a Google search led me here. I took the monitor apart yesterday, then went out today and got the necessary tools and a 5-pack of 68-ohm 1/2-watt resistors. Took a while to unsolder the old resistors (been a long time since I've used a soldering iron) and then install the new ones. Once I reassembled the monitor and plugged it in, it fired right up! Happy camper here!

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Howdy, I'm Brian from Olathe, KS. I'm a software and web developer that's been wanting to get into experimenting with electronics for a while. My Samsung 245BW recently went black, and I found this forum while searching for repair info. I've already taken the monitor apart and just need to get the right tools and components to take the next steps. Looking forward to learning more from y'all!
