    This tv only has image only top six inches across the screen. And sound theough all outputs. Video stays the same only top 6 inches of screen.
    Don't know what to change. One tech say buffer on z sus since there is image that the buffers must not be letting voltage or image they do to bad ic on buffer. I'm not sure how to check voltages or where to find schematic. Can see one pls send advice will post pictures later. Pls help just getting started and have fixed about 100 sets so far. But need help Testing at component level. Can some one teach me... Thanks Jamie

    I have the same problem. The set was hooked through power strip and TiVo also. Now both have no power. I went direct to outlet no power and no lights. No 3.3 voltage. No lights or clicking at all any suggestions. I saw the flow chart. Power supply but another tech tells me main board supply lies the voltage to power supply. Confused. How do I check the 450 volt cap. In or out of of circuit. I have a digital mm buy don't know which is capacitance. I want to buy possible supply and be wrong. Can some one help me. I do board replacement and am trying...

    vinceroger69, thanks for the link there is some really good inforamtion here. thanks again..If anyone knows where i can get ccfl replacement tubes for sharp lc6554u sharp 65" i need ccfl. also if there is a way to trick the set into thinking it has the bulb please post or nessage me. I have one bad ccfl in the set and have moved it to the bottom of the screem but cant find a replacement and have a huge tv taking up space in repair area due to bad bulb..thanks jamie

    Tom. this is a great help. Thank you for taking the time to break it down..Although I do have a problem with a set that i am working on, that is real similiar to your posts.. I have a 50pfp5332d/37 and it came to me with sound and no picture. Normally i would do a little testing and then replace the x or y sustain boards.. Although I have been working to become more confident in component level repair. So guys with this being said voltages were a little off and i was thinking that something was dragging them down...

    guys i also have this issue, i used tom66 link to manuals an found them quite useful.. Although i do have questions bout this set and i am a newbie so i dont know how to post a question or address a member.I found that i had a burned leg on the ysus @ u5800. this is a mosfet i beleive 6 pin mr4270 is the part number on the part. does anyone have any help for me? can i just replace this part or should i check further to see what caused this to burn the leg off? I have heat at the top portion of the ysus but the lower half has...
