Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this post. I have been looking at this forum quite intensely for the last few days. A family member has a 42" Zenith that is almost 2 years old (out of warranty). She accidentally unplugged it while on and plugged it back in. This is in an old house with old electrical wires in a cheap surge protector. It now tries to turn on but goes into sleep. It clicks a few times and the red light stays on (showing its in sleep mode). I assumed bad caps, so I opened it up and the caps look ok, no visible damage.
