Re: LG 50pk550 2 vertical lines down left side
I have had some success fixing vertical lines in about 9 lcds so far. Had to take off the top metal cover on the lcd and find the ribbons that sit closes to the lines and sometimes its in more then one areas.
I start light tapping the cables til where the screen reacts then use a piece of the rubbery material found under the plasma tv boards(its a insulator and conducts heat), place them on the cables with lines beneath them and put the cover back on ......1 out of 6 havent worked for me.. Sold those TVS and they havent...

lg 42lg50 no power or standby but found this
I found a burnt chip on the mainboard i could replace but one thing doesnt make sense. On the schematic ic802 looks like it only controls the hdmi. Does anyone believe this could be the only problem on the board?
I dont think so....so why isnt the tv on with no hdmi?
All the voltages coming from the ps are good. 5v 12v.
Im going to retake the mb photo i see its not clear....

need part for ymain for samsung pn42a450p1dzxa
Hey gang,
After a week burnin had this TV come back with no picture but sound. I headed straight to the Y main board and voltage on the buffer was only 29v. Started checking the board visually and found what looks like a blown zener Diode. Wondering if any one has a schematic or knows the part number on that diode for a cross refer?

Re: Samsung LN40A550P3FXZA screen goes BLACK
I have replaced a few transformers on inverters. Now I scrap one board to use parts off it to fix the others.

Re: Samsung PN60E6500EFXZA no power or standby
The blown fuses could have been from the surge on off. Replace them or short them(like we do lol)and see what happens. I use a piece of solder wire because it will melt if its too hot from amp flow.

Re: Samsung PN60E6500EFXZA no power or standby
well my first question with is this the new board or the old board?I would check the pin out voltages on that then test if it could be your main board. if you read your pinout charts and short out the on off switch to turn on the board and short out your inverter on pin you can get the board to turn on the screen and test the supply. Then you know its the main board.
I'm not sure what your level is. But if you don't know where the charts are they are next to the ribbon cable ends On your board which I can see in the picture and...

Been here for 14yrs and tired of it but what else can we do at this point???? Everybody cant effort new stuff so they fix old stuff.
