Re: Vizio vt471xvt
Yes the panel board was damaged, had to jumper a total of 8 traces, did a continuity on all traces and test ok. No components were damaged.

Re: Vizio vt471xvt
I can see them by looking at the end of the ribbon cables and they seem to be in contact with the sockets? Can the power supply cause something like this, the voltages are dead on also checked for ripple and its ok.

Vizio vt471xvt
Hi Guys, This tv started with no picture sound ok, i found the problem to be in power supply/inverter, replaced module with a used one. picture looked normal after that, put the cover back on, tried the tv again and this is what i get! (see picture) any idea what can cause this??...

Re: Samsung LNT3242H 32" LCD TV, no picture but audio works- no component damage
I placed a ceramic capacitor 150k @6kv from the output of the transformer to ground, that killed the arc by reducing the voltage to the ccfl.Tv has worked for the last couple of days, there is a slight shading going on about 4" from the top of the screen, visible only when the raster is blank. I will keep it on test and see what happens.
