Re: HITACHI P50H401 - evolution of repairs and now what?
Quick follow-up
I tested the CN32 connector that goes from the PWSupply to the YSUS board. Using this chart https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/6111b58b764cc282c9572c674265e19b.pdf I wanted to know if the YSUS board was at fault. Well, turns out that three out of four pair tested on the connector where giving me infiniti for a reading, but one pair gave me a reading of 540 / 1707...
At this point, should I try to find what is the trouble for that last bad reading and try to fix it,...

HITACHI P50H401 - evolution of repairs and now what?
Hi guys,
I was going to make a folow-up of my repairs on another thread, but decided to start a new one since I need advice of you all.
So my plasma had the three time blinking problem. I checked the power supply board where the two big capacitors where swollen. I change that and check the board on almost all components, and was confident it was ok to put back in. That was yesterday.
My upper buffer board has two blown chips, but after further review two more pair of ceramic capacitors gave me a bad reading meaning they where blown too. Better off...

Re: Dude is bringing over a Hitachi P50S601 (plasma 1080)
putting my red pointer on the center pin, and putting the black on each end gave me in ohms 620-817 for the upper ysus and 621-795 for the lower one.
doesn't seem to have any problem there.
My problem on my upper buffer board is that I ran my multimeter on each little ceramic capacitor for the ic chips and even if two ic's shows blown-up evidence, two other lectures gives me that I have two more blown ic....so 4 blown ic chips, i'll re-evaluate if i'm better off with a use board...

Hi freakaftr8, i took two pictures that might get what you want to show. I'll check them for sure before I replace the buffer board. If you want the pictures to be more close to the board, tell me and i'll try to take some more.

Re: Dude is bringing over a Hitachi P50S601 (plasma 1080)
I will start on that Hitachi P50H401 project next week, replacing them two caps on the power supply, and I'll try replacing the two ic chips burned on the upper buffer board.
I will keep you updated on the project. First step - test voltages and tensions and this leads to second step: order the pieces!
Cheers!
Jeff
