  • Re: Westinghouse LD 4655VX Power Supply

Hi Ben, I see you are from Trenton, NJ. How are things there? I used to go there a lot in the 90s and even got into some great fishing on the Delaware drifting right under the big Trenton bridge, but I changed jobs and dont go that way at all anymore!

Being a dummy with this, I dont know what you mean with one of the power wires from the power supply. From the PSP, there is a wire with what looks like 2 fusable links and then a connector that plugs into the main board. Could you explain it more simply for me?

    1. I tested the FSP AC/DC Adapter with my multimeter and it comes back reading 19.4 volts so I *think* it is ok. Not sure if there is a way to test it for amperage or not or even how to load test it!
    2. I took off the back cover and unhooked the 2 ribbon cables for the LEDs and tried to power it on with the onboard switch...

JustinSane or Jeff whichever is easier for you to remember!

I am a newbie in all things electronic at the board level, but I have been involved with computer programming in my past. I like dinking around with stuff from computers to cars and boats. I have a BS in Mathematics and Comp Sci. Reading through these intros makes me think, "AH, my kind of people!!!!" This looks like a great forum and board where I can learn a lot! I hail from Texas USA but have traveled all over.

    Thanks for...
