I did try to jumper the 2 holes and disconnected the big ribbon cable that went to the main board. No test picture.

Around 5vdc on the Z2B test point. At the connector I got 201 vdc at the Vs pins, 54vdc at the NC pin (va), 5.1 vdc at M5V pin.Leave a comment:

Hello,
I have a LG 60 pv450 that has sound but no picture. I looked through all the threads and couldn't find one exactly for me.
Here is what I have done so far:
when the TV is powered up I get the 210 VS and 54 VA on the power supply and at the connector of the Zsus and Ysus boards. All fuses on the Power supply, Zsus and Ysus boards are good. The coils on the Zsus and Ysus boards look good (no cold solder joints).
I tried to get the test pattern and still no picture.
I checked the VSC and -VY and had no to very little... -

I did disconnected the X-sus and Y-sus boards after the post. No change. I guess the PSU is bad. I will look for the short on the VS line.

Changed power supply. Get stby 5vdc getting ps on voltage.
Checked
V5D- 5.3vdc .... 2.1vdc
VG- 15vdc.... 14.8 vdc
Vscan- 95vdc..... 78vdc
Vs- 88vdc..... No volts
Vest....126vdc .... No volts
Ve..... 115vdc.... No volts
Va...... 76vdc..... 78vdc

I have this TV that will not power up.
I took the back off and check for the 5vdc stby voltage on the power supply at connector CN804 and the test point and I am getting 2.9vdc. The PS ON voltage is 1.6vdc on connector CN802.
When I use the power button on the side of the set I hear a click then a short fizzle sound next to connector CN804. When the TV is originally plugged in there is a red led on the front. When I push the power button it blinks 5 times then it goes out.

I received a main board today and it didn't fix it. I did a closer look at the power supply and found C6332 charred. Can anybody help with the value of this capacitor and if there is another one on the board that is can use for this cap. I have another power supply that has the same problem. Thanks for any help.
PS: I need to apologize for the "cheesy" comment in post 1. I tried to replace the main fuse earlier and could not get the fuse out of the holder. I had to solder another fuse to the top of the old.Leave a comment:

I picked up this TV today from CL. He said he has been trying to fix it for the last 6 months. He tried replacing the power supply and it didn't fix it. He had a repair place look at it and they piggybacked a fuse onto the main fuse. (Kind of cheesy). That didn't fix it. He also gave the repair place the other power supply board and that main fuse was blown. They said it would be a signal board. (Not sure what a signal board is, maybe the main board???).
I plugged it in and there is nothing. No LED light on the front, no relay clicking. I am getting 170 vdc out of the bridge rectifier.... -

Checked pin2 to pin 3 reads 2.1 kohms. Did a diode check and I am getting .631 with black lead on pin2 and red on pin3. I get .817 if reverse them.Leave a comment:
