tried removing the cable and then plugging both ends back in. still getting the 5 blinking lights...not sure what to do next

is the t-con board the one at the top of the TV where the black cord goes into from the BU1 board. And by main board do you mean BU1 board?Leave a comment:

After wiggling the cord, there is no picture anymore and the tv turns off by itself and the standby light blinks 5 timesLeave a comment:

Can you give any description of what the lvds cable is? Does it go from the BU1 board to the mainboard?Leave a comment:

Trouble with BU1 Board Sony Bravia KDL-46S3000
So here is the back story, my Sony Bravia KDL-46S3000 had no sound or picture and was displaying 8 blinking red lights. So I did some reading and replaced the BU1 board. The sound and picture now works but the picture is mostly fuzzy red. You can make out images but they are almost all red. Not sure if it is an issue with the BU1 board or something else.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks! -
