Re: DELL U2410 problem
I don't know where you could order these, but maybe you are lucky and find a faulty U2410 on ebay ?

Re: DELL U2410 problem
Yes, I replaced all capacitors before I cleaned the tube. But this didn't have any effect. Are you sure you cleaned all the tubes and have you checked that they turn on properly now (no flicker!). I was afraid to turn the monitor on dismounted .. but it was the only way to see if the tubes all turn on without flicker. My dirty tube turned on, but there was a little flicker before everything was shut down ... these tube sockets may have to be cleaned somehow, too ...

Be careful when you dismout it. Make sure you don't do any damage to that white paper layer as I did.

Re: DELL U2410 problem
Hi!
Yes, I solved the issue. One of the backlight tubes had a bad connection to its socket. I cleaned the tube (it was very dirty) and after the cleaning it worked just fine!
The issue is explained in some other thread about U2410:

Re: Broken Dell Ultrasharp U2410
That is great ! Would you please post more details about the tubes, because the link you provided above is no longer valid. Do these tubes have a part number or something ?

Re: Broken Dell Ultrasharp U2410
Hm ... I thought it is there for a good reason ?! Do you really think I can just remove it ?
However I am not sure if I want to go through the process of opening this monitor again (unless I have to).
One more note: When I cleaned the tube, I also broke a little plastic socket in the middle of the tube. Maybe I did something wrong, but it seems to be very fragile. Hopefully it doesn't matter much ...
Did you manage to dismount the tubes without breaking these little platic sockets ?...

Re: Broken Dell Ultrasharp U2410
Thank you so much Adrian, my U2410f had the same issue. In my case it was U-Tube Nr.4, but it had the same problem. I cleaned it and now the monitor just works fine. Unfortunately when i disassembled the LCD module, I made a little scratch in one of the "papers" that are between LCD panel and backlights. So for everybody else who is opening the panel: Make sure you do not touch this papers or you will see a little shadow on the screen afterwards.
I am so happy

DELL U2410 problem
Hello,
My DELL U2410 is now more than 3 years old (no more warranty) and it started to make trouble. When I turn on the monitor, I can see the DELL Logo on the Display and it shortly shows a symbol in the top left corner indicating the used input. (I currently connect the HDMI, but it has the same issue on DVI). After that the monitor display is shut down immediately. When I try to open the OSD Menu, it does not show up. I decided to open the monitor and replace the capatiors on the power board, because I have read that this can often fix this kind of issue. Unfortunetely in my...
