When the TH 50PZ80U TV warms up, a 3 inch transparent yellowish vertical bar appears in a fixed position from top to bottom on the right side of the screen. The bar overlays any video input including the TV’s menus. It first appeared with images that have white backgrounds. It now appears with any background. It may disappear for a while if I tap on the chassis. I have re-seated some of the ribbon cables with no effect on the bar. Has anyone else experienced this? The yellow bar appears over the C1 board. I was afraid of that. This only happens once the TV warms up othewise the panel looks great. Were you able to fix this, freakaftr8?

Screen image of vertical yellow that aligns with right end of C1 board. Have reseated ribbons but no change. Any suggestions?...

I reseated the ribbon cable but the transparent vertical bar still appears. Removing the ribbon cable replaces video with static in the bar. Is the next step to replace the C1 buffer board? Is there any way to determine if the problem is with the board or the components in the ribbon cable?

Thank you, Tom. I did reseat the ribbons that lined up with the bar without success. I will have to try to reseat all of them.
