its a new board. Before I put this board in I put this board in I had the vertical line problem and the new board seemed to have solved that part.

Why would it cut off the inverter when the cable is connected? The blue light on the inverter dosent even blink. Actually the tv tries booting up, then after a minute of no backlight the tv shuts back off. Maybe its a bad ribbon?

I have an interesting on. I had a vertical line issue. I just recieved a new TCon board, hooked it up and when i turned it on the backlights never kicked on. I unplugged the power from the tcon board and tried again and the backlights come on but nothing else, as expected. Here is the part that is confusing me, I then plugged the tcon back in, but unplugged the ribbon from the inverter to the tcon board. Fired up the tv and everything seems to work perfect. Should it be working fine without the small cable from inverter to tcon board hooked up? Will it hurt anything by running it this way? Now...
